Instrumentation Technician

Cully Automation is currently recruiting for an Instrumentation Technician who is electrically qualified or competent.

Description
Reporting to our Service Manager this position is based in our Head Office in Leixlip Co Kildare,

You will be joining our highly experienced service team providing professional services (Calibration/Validation/Service) both in-house and field based throughout the country. The client base is extensive and covers every key sector of Water& waste water industry. This is a permanent position with opportunities for further promotion within an expanding company.

Key Duties;

  • Chemical treatment and monitoring such as dosing pumps analysers
  • Flow meter commissioning & calibrations
  • Radio install and repairs, Data Loggers
  • Ensure Chemical treatment and monitoring equipment instrumentation is calibrated serviced to meet standards
  • Support the operation and Maintenance of equipment as part of the Service Team
  • Carry out planned and reactive Maintenance as required.
  • Problem Solving
  • Handle minor electrical maintenance and installations for instrumentation

Key Desirables;

  • Chemical treatment i.e. Chlorine, Ferric and monitoring experience Chlorine, Ph, Turbidity etc
  • Understanding or flow meters and general principles of operation
  • Experience with Radio systems and or Data Loggers
  • Be a team player with a friendly and outgoing disposition.
  • Be a punctual, motivated and organised self-starter who is enthusiastic and conscientious about completing work on time and to a high standard.
  • Demonstrate a positive approach to work and be able to work well unsupervised on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Full clean driving licence, Safe pass, Confined space training
  • PreVious Electrical experience in the industry is desirable but not essential or a general understanding of the water industry and instrumentation

This role is mixed between some minor electrical works with regards to instrumentation, calibration works and service repair and commission of analytical telemetry equipment some parts of the business are quite niche  and some products may be a once off so candidates would have to have a ability to work out some problems with some support from the office but a strong  ability to work a problem out or figure out how to solves the issue such as contacting the right person for the job or giving a solution to a problem rather than ignoring the problem

Electrical Design Engineer

Cully Automation is currently recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer.  The role will be based at Leixlip HQ travel may be required from time to time.  The role will report directly into the EICA Project Manager.

Description

The Successful candidate will be joining an industry leader in the field of automation. And will develop the skills to provide professional service both workshop and field based. Our company has been at the core of automation in Ireland. This is a permanent position with opportunities for further promotion within an expanding company.

Role – Electrical Design Engineer

  • Plan and design layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures taking into consideration best practice, costs, safety and time constraints.

  • Develop schematics, drawings, work instructions/method statements in accordance with best practice.

  • Create O&M manuals for sites

  • Create as built panel drawings for site

  • Create I/o Lists for sites
  • Liaise with sales engineers, project engineers, customers, suppliers and sub-contractors

  • Complete on the ground surveys of sites as part of overall project design.

  • Consult with clients, project team and contracts managers to develop a full understanding of technical requirements.

  • Ability to read, translate and implement customer designs and specifications for projects

  • Comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety Practices

  • Development of Health and Safety Plans

Requirements

  • Third Level Degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Familiar with design of electrical instrumentation, control and SCADA systems.

  • Competent in electrical design and have ability to work independently.

  • Previous relevant experience.

  • Strong abilities in use of CAD 2D and 3D systems.

  • Professional approach to work.

Automation Engineer

Automation Engineer

We are currently seeking an Experienced Automation Engineer to join our team of specialist Automation Engineers based in Leixlip.  

Excellent remuneration package based on proven experience.

The Engineer will work in an environment of continual improvement in an expanding exciting industry.

Responsibilities:

The Automation Engineer within a projects team supporting clients as they Automate and modernize their infrastructure. The candidate should have strong hardware and software experience and debugging skills with electrical and computer knowledge. And be a positive problem solver with the ability to deal with customer queries. Assist in controls and automation designs for projects related to the Water and Waste water industry;

  • Preparation of project documentation including FDS and OMM's.
  • Responsible for Systems, Software and Electrical Drawings
  • Manage all aspects of the control systems within projects & ensure all aspects are completed on time and within budget
  • Design and programming of PLC/HMI control systems
  • Design and implementation of SCADA systems
  • Design and implementation of Telemetry systems
  • Testing of control panels and automation systems including FAT and SAT
  • Work on independently on smaller projects and work as part of a team on larger projects
  • Liaise with system vendors to source innovative automated solutions
  • Technical support to existing customers

Qualifications / Skills

  • Qualified Electrical Engineer with proven real-time experience
  • PLC Programming experience (Allen Bradley, Siemens, ABB)
  • 5 years’ experience with a strong interest in automation engineering
  • SCADA experience ICONICS, Intouch, Wonderware, WinCC
  • Qualified with Electrical/Automation/ Control Level 8 degree
  • Strong understanding of industrial control systems, willing to learn and capable of learning in live project environments
  • Instrumentation & Measurement experience a distinct advantage
  • Experience of working with electrical equipment
  • Previous relevant experience in Water/Power Systems an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of object orientated programming
